There is a moose head mounted on the wall. It moves! It scared me at first! It watched me while I ate my dinner. I wonder if he has a name? Bonus points for Quincy's: we didn't get there until about 9:30pm, I'm pretty sure this is the only decent restaurant open in upper Michigan that late... There is a huge selection of food, the pizzas (especially the deep dish) are very good. Service was very friendly and prompt. There are some great items on local history when you walk in. This is definitely one of my new favorite places to go when I'm in the area.

First night in town after a long days drive; getting really tired; the key to our rental cabin wouldn't work; no cell phone service so we could call from the back porch of our cabin and VERY hungry. So we went to Quincy's for food and a land line phone to call the cabin's rental agent. Bless Quincy's -- they were able to supply the phone and a very good meal to sooth our frazzled nerves. And to make our wait a little more bearable, we were there on Monday evening which is "$2.00 off every steak" Night. So I ordered really savory Creamy French Onion Soup and a Ceasar salad to start, a Petite Fillet, medium-rare, a baked potato with butter and sour cream. Truly one of my comfort food meals. All four in our party had good food and, after we were able to reach the cabin owner to straighten out the snafu with the key, we spent the time lingering over our good meals and exchanging family gossip while our sweet server kept our drinks filled and made sure we had all we required. By the time we got back to the cabin, the rental agent and her husband were there with replacement keys, had switched on the lights inside and out and even started a cheerful, cozy fire in the glass front iron stove in the dining room and bumped up the thermostat on the furnace by a couple of degrees. Thank you Quincy's for doing your part to welcome us to Dollar Bay!

Best restaurant in the area.... Food is consistent and taste great always. My family likes to eat out and we come here more often than anywhere else. It's amazing here

Three of us came in for dinner. I ordered trout with lemon pepper, but it came with Cajun seasoning. It was great, but the tasteless boiled veggies and bland rice were very disappointing. We also ordered a Caesar salad and Chef salad, both with bad tasting meat, like it was old or cooked the day before. Our meal arrived after a very long wait, even after a couple who arrived 15 minutes after we ordered.

2nd visit to Quincy's. I had the cajun Lake Superior white fish (caught that day by the find folks at Peterson's). I forewent the potato and bread and was given a double-order dinner salad instead. The fish was really great -- I mean really REALLY delish. The cajun spice didn't seem to add or detract from the flavor. The salad was your standard fare for most parts U.P.: iceberg lettuce, a small amount of tomato, processed shredded cheese and croutons a-go-go. Next time I will order w/out the cheese and croutons. The salad was fresh and the vinegar and oil dressing was tasty. 5 of us ate dinners with soft drinks and a large ap -- the total w/tip was a hundo. Not too shabby.

Love it. This place completes the triad of great eateries north of the canal (along with the eagle harbor inn & Fitzgerald's). Had an excellent martini, a good old fashioned, a great burger, and super French onion soup. Service is friendly and quick, ambience is festive & casual. Yum.

Quincy's is a great local restaurant that is easy to miss as you drive along M-26 through blink-and-you-miss-it Dollar Bay, Michigan. The interior of the restaurant itself has a woodsy, homey feel, with wood-paneled walls, floors, and ceiling. It also contains glass cases of authentic artifacts from the local area's copper mining era (the name "Quincy's" is a reference to the Quincy Mining Company, which had its mine shafts based in nearby Hancock). The food itself is very delicious. Whether or not items are entirely homemade is hard to tell as they have that "homemade" taste to them. Particularly good are the soups, including the French Onion soup and the Broccoli Cheese, which I believe is served as a daily special soup. My favorite meal there is the Turkey Dinner, which is served on Sundays. It comes in two sizes--Plate (which is a respectable size) and Dinner for $1 more (which is pretty huge). The restaurant is great about allowing customization (I like all white meat and subbing my potatoes for a second scoop of stuffing). The turkey is delicious and the meal keeps you filled for the rest of the day. The restaurant typically hires older waitstaff (as compared to other local restaurants that hire highschoolers on a rotating basis) and the staff seems to stick around for a while and are very skilled at their jobs. This is a great restaurant and there is no doubt why it has been around for so many years. Stop here and have some great food!

We are new to the area and today we drove by and decided to stop for lunch. It was pretty empty (only 2 or 3) other tables in the whole restaurant. The server/ bartender was the only employee I saw the entire time we were there but she was very nice and quick. She was even friendly with my 2 year old. The food was good and totally affordable. The three of us got a ton of food and our tab was about $22, I've paid more than that for us to eat at a crapy fat food place. We left full and happy. We will def be back!!

Been here a ton of times while sledding. Everything is good except the steaks in my opinion. Go with the spaghetti, burgers or whatever is on special. The foyer entrance is a little museum about the copper mining history on the Keweenaw which is worth looking at. Decent local beers on tap and have fun watching the giant moose head gaze around the dining room.

They have great burgers, you also have to try the French onion soup, some of the best I have ever had!
